The peculiar velocities of 306 spiral galaxies are combined with two existing samples to characterize the velocity field in the Local Supercluster (LS). The sample of spirals is combined with that by Aaronson et al. (1986) within the context of the Great Attractor (GA) model, and the resulting parameters are compared to those derived by Faber and Burstein (1988) based on the GA model. The direction of the GA varies by as much as 26 deg in the three samples, and the discrepancy is accounted for by the local anomaly in the GA model. The observed and predicted motions of the LG based on the 306 spiral galaxies in this study demonstrate a consistency absent from the previous samples. The standard GA model is concluded to be oversimplified and therefore incapable of providing data on the local peculiar velocity fields and the local anomaly.
