A first RIBF experiment for decay spectroscopy was performed. Neutron-rich nuclei with mass number A ~ 110 were produced using in-flight fission of 238U. A new beta-counting system consisting of nine layers of double-sided-silicon-strip detector (DSSSD) was employed to detect beta-rays from the neutron-rich nuclei stopped in the beta-counting system. The β-decay curves of neutron-rich nuclei were successfully reconstructed. As a complementary device, a super-segmented scintillation detector (CAITEN) has been prepared for future decay experiment. Its fast counting capability dedicated for half-life measurement was confirmed using radioactive beam produced by the fragmentation of Ca-beam.
