We performed calculations of the average X-ray pulse profile observed from the X-ray pulsar Hercules X-1 at the 'main-on' state of the 35-day cycle. We assume that accretion in this source takes place in three distinct zones on the neutron star surface: two magnetic poles and a circle-like area around the pole with lower magnetic field strength, which is connected with a complex (presumably quadrupole) structure of the neutron star magnetic field at its surface.
