A semi-analytical method for calculating the stationary space distribution of old galactic neutron stars (ONS) is proposed. The method is valid for the galactic potentials that admit the use of an ergodic hypothesis for calculating equilibrium space distributions. Neutron stars are supposed to acquire their initial velocities during the (asymmetric) supernova explosion of a single massive (M0 greater than 10 solar mass) star or of the massive component of a binary system. The method permits one to investigate the dependence of the ONS spatial distribution on the initial velocity and space distributions of young pulsars.
