Solar Eclipses

In this study we have analyzed the diagram that expresses the length of the chord and the distance between the centers of the solar and lunar disks during a solar eclipse as a function of time. Two elementary mathematical expressions were obtained theoretically that depict the changes of these lengths for the complete phenomenon. The practical application is provided, based on the data of the total eclipse of 1999.
