The Broadband Array Spectrograph System (BASS) sensor is a unique infrared (IR) cooled dual array prism spectrograph, sensitive in the 3-13 micron region, utilizing two fifty-eight element BIBIB Si:As linear arrays. It is liquid helium cooled, and has a resolving power that varies with wavelength of 25-120 from 3-6.5 and 6.5-13 microns. The BASS has operated at various other observatories (Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF), Mt. Lemmon, Kitt Peak, Kuiper Airborne Observatory), but has not previously operated at the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercoputing (AMOS) site. BASS will be utilized at the Advanced Electro-Optical System (AEOS) to collect IR spectra of stars, planets, planetary nebulae, as well as other targets of interest, and will provide measurements of atmospheric transmission and radiance in the long wave IR over various lines of sight. We describe the installation of the BASS onto the AEOS, the results of the first few data collection runs, and future plans.
