Despite abundant evidence for substantial amounts of hot gas in the halo, disk, and local interstellar medium of the Galaxy, there is still little consensus on even the gross properties of its spatial distribution, filling factor, or organization relative to other phases. I will provide a few reminders of the current situation, and show some preliminary results from Suzaku diffuse observations that promise to shed fresh light on this issue.
