Preliminary results are presented of a calculation of linear, radial oscillations in a realistic solar model, taking consistently into account the interaction between the oscillations and the non-grey radiation field. The eigenfrequencies and damping rates of the modes are affected only slightly by the inclusion of non-grey radiation; however the effects on the detailed behavior of the eigenfunctions in the solar atmosphere are larger, and they may have implications for the diagnostics of the oscillations. The spectral variation of the perturbation in the surface flux is compared with observations reported in these proceedings by Froehlich.
