Polar Motion: Vlb Interferometry, Earth Rotation: Vlb Interferometry

Scientific paper

Estimates of X, Y, and UT1-UTC have been derived from a composite set of Mark III Very Long Baseline Interferometry observations collected under the aegis of projects MERIT, POLARIS and IRIS. Observations were combined in a single least squares adjustment to obtain self consistent Earth orientation time series, source coordinates and the coordinates of the VLBI reference points of each of the radio telescopes. A daily series of UT1 values for the period April through June, 1984, and April 1985 through January, 1988 is given.
