Synthesized beamwidths of 5.1 arcsec for 2400 AU and 7.6 arcsec for 3500 AU are used, in the present study of interferometric observations of the 110 to 111 and 514 to 515 transitions of H2CO toward the molecular cloud Orion-KL, to identify emission from the hot core, compact ridge, and northern cloud regions. A discussion of H2CO as a spatial density probe indicates that the K-doublet transitions are ideal for this role, since they achieve appreciable optical depths only at the highest column densities.
