Stars: Carbon, Stars: Late-Type

Scientific paper

Stars of spectral types M, C an S close to the galactic equator between longitudes 200° and 270° have been studied on infrared sensitive spectroscopic plates. From the collected material, relations of the studied stars to other galactic objects have been found, in particular the presence of red supergiants with OI and CaII in emission. Also a possible association of S stars with Eta Carinae nebula is considered.
