In this paper a description is given of a nonequilibrium (NE) analysis of the supernova remnants (SNRs) of the Large Magellanic Cloud, comparing hydrodynamical models with NE ionization structure to available data in the soft X-ray band. It is shown that data and derived fundamental parameters for the great majority of the SNRs are consistent with assuming that the remnants are in the adiabatic expansion phase. It is also shown that the distribution in the Sigma-R diagram and the cumulative number-radius relation of the SNRs in the LMC can be satisfactorily exlained by a population of adiabatic remnants expanding in locally uniform media of different densities.
