The relative motion of two gravitating material bodies is studied. The first body has an axial-symmetric distribution and the second has a spherically symmetric distribution. The coplanar motion of the bodies is characterized by the property that the axis of symmetry of the first body and the center of the second body are situated in a certain motionless plane. Conditions are deduced for the orbital stability and the first-approximation orbital stability for complanar stationary motions.
