The interstellar contents of Li and B towards the SN1987a are considered. The Li depletion was estimated indirectly from K I observations, and it was found that a Li depletion of 1.2 dex is plausible, indicating that an interstellar Li/H abundance as high as 0.8 x 10 to the -9th cannot be excluded. The interstellar B content was obtained from the SN1987a spectra collected from the IUE-VILSPA data bank, which were smoothed using two cycles of a three-pixel triangular filter to increase the S/N. A minimum detectable equivalent width of 22 mA was found, indicating an interstellar B/H abundance of less than 4.7 x 10 to the -10th/sq cm. This limit suggests that the rate of spallation processes in the LMC has not been higher than in the Galaxy.
