Integrated photoelectric measurements of the equivalent widthW Hβ, the [O iii]/Hβ ratio and the Hβ emission line flux were obtained for 30 Hii regions in the SMC. Physical properties of the Hii regions and their ionizing stellar associations were derived. Some aspects of the recent star formation in the SMC and the evolution of Hii regions are discussed.
