Results are presented from a search for QSO candidates in the UK Schmidt Area 823. This paper relates to the Northwestern quarter. A total of 91 candidates with a confidence level Q greater than 4 are given with their coordinates and estimated stellar magnitudes. Possible identifications of the spectral lines as well as redshift estimates are given for most of the objects with Q greater than 5.
