High Resolution CO Observations of the -190 KM s(-1) Molecular Gas in the Central 80'' of the Galactic Center

We have mapped the CO emission in J=2->1 and J=1->0 in a 140'' by 100'' region around Sgr A West at radial velocities from --250 to --170 km s(-1) with a resolution of 11''. The measurements were made in January 1992 with the IRAM 30-m telescope which has an angular resolution of 21'' for the 1->0 line and 11'' for the 2->1 line. Our maps reveal that the --190 km s(-1) molecular feature reported by Liszt (1991, AAS Bulletin) appears to end at the brightest clump in the circumnuclear molecular ring (Gusten et al. 1987, Ap. J.) and makes a sharp bend about a point 50'' due West of the southern end of the ring. Additionally, the blueshift increases with increasing distance from the ring and Galactic center.
