New CCD radial velocity observations for the 27.02 day Cepheid T Mon are presented. The new observations definitively prove the spectroscopic binary nature of the Cepheid and allow improved estimates of the orbital period and the semiamplitude of the orbital radial velocity curve. A period of about 175 yr is derived, considerably longer than the value proposed by Szabados (1981) and Coulsen (1983). Due to the very long orbital period, the system T Mon does not appear to be useful for the determination of a dynamical mass for the Cepheid.
