We present preliminary spatial and spectral analysis of ROSAT PSPC observations of three fields in the Fornax Cluster, a nearby poor cluster with a central dominant galaxy (NGC 1399). Because of the ~ 5 degree angular size of the cluster, its ~ 1 keV temperature, and its relatively low surface brightness, the ROSAT PSPC is the only past, present, or near-future instrument capable of studying the Fornax intracluster medium in depth. We display preliminary results on the the extent and morphology of the x-ray emission, the density and temperature structure of the intracluster medium, and the relationship of the intracluster medium to the extended dark halo and interstellar medium of NGC 1399.
