We report the first detections of pulsars at the wavelength of 8.8 mm (33.9 GHz). Observations were made at the Effelsberg Radio-Observatory with a new receiver system using HEMT amplifiers. The detected fluxes were considerably higher than one could expect from power-law spectra estimated at lower frequencies. An exceptionally strong interpulse was observed in PSR 1929+10.
