A method for estimating local spatial density changes in meteor streams due to planetary perturbation is developed. The evolution of density in the orbits of several meteor streams affected by perturbation from Jupiter is studied. It is shown that there is the possibility both of a decrease and of a considerable temporary increase of local density due to planetary perturbation. Examples are given of stable periodic oscillations in stream density.
