Comparative cosmological studies and quasar count predictions are produced on the basis of quasar surveys, employing systematic self-testing and mutual cross testing of the chronometric and Friedman cosmologies. Nonparametric estimates of the normalized luminosity function are made which involve no assumptions as to the homogeneity of the spatial distribution of quasars, while homogeneity is independently studied. The chronometric cosmology is found to fit the observations satisfactorily without either luminosity or density evolution; its predictions regarding the results of analyses predicated on a nonevolutionary Friedman cosmology are similar to the deviations actually found in such analyses, from which hypotheses of evolution have been derived.
