It is proposed that the interacting solar g-modes are driven by the beat forcing of g-modes by two five-minute oscillations which are excited by a k-mechanism. Equations for evaluating the coupling between two p-modes and a g-mode are presented. The frequency differences of the observed p-modes are compared with the observed frequencies of g-modes. The relationship between observed peaks and those peaks which result from beat forcings of g-modes is analyzed.
