Acceleration and heating processes of plasma sheet ions and the varying
contributions of solar wind and ionosphere dependent on the magnetic
activity are investigated. Mass spectra, charge distribution and spectra
of suprathermal ions taken with the time-of-flight spectrometer SULEICA
onboard the AMPTE/IRM satellite are analysed.
