Some relations between long term variations in flare activity and the quiet-state luminosity of the flare star EV Lac are analyzed on the basis of observational data for the time interval 1972-1981. The mean annual values of the quiet-state luminosity show long term fluctuations with an amplitude of 0.3 mag and a period of about 5 yr. Similar fluctuations in flare activity are expressed by the mean annual values of the flare frequency P(1) and the integrated flare intensity P(2) during the years 1971-1980. Some correlations between values of quiet-state luminosity for the period 1972-1981 and the values of P(1) and P(2) for the period 1971-1980 were also found. The contributions of various types of flares to the total flare activity of EV Lac is found for each activity cycle. Negative correlations are found between the contribution of P(1)O, P(2)O from Oskanian type-II and type-IV flares to the total flare activity P(1)P(2) of EV Lac during the years 1971-1980. Data on the activity cycle of EV Lac are summarized in a table.
