The optical transient, PSN J05001372-0320512, was discovered by the Lick Observatory Supernova Search program (ref., http://www.rochesterastronomy.org/snimages/). It is localised in the galaxy of NGC 1729 (z=0.012115). We carried out spectroscopic observation of this source using the Chinese 2.4m Gao-Mei-Gu (GMG) telescope equipped with the YFOSC camera on Feb. 11 and 12, and two spectra were obtained.
