Applying the methods described by Gal-Yam et al. (2004, PASP, 116, 597; see also Poznanski et al. 2002, PASP, 114, 833) to the Swift/UVOT photometry of SN 2005ke reported by Immler & Brown (CBET #289) we determine the following constraints on the type of this young, nearby SN: 1) The UBV photometry of SN 2005ke is well fit by colors of young SNe of type Ib or Ic. 2) The SN is inconsistent with being a young type Ia event, unless it is significantly extinguished by dust (A_V>1 mag).
