Active galactic nuclei (AGNs) are galactic centers that harbour very massive black holes on the order of a billion solar masses. Some of them are strong radio sources with the emission originating from their relativistic jets. The main question we wish to answer is the following: How do gravitational energy, black hole spin, and the magnetic field connecting the accretion disk to the black hole combine to power such high energy phenomena like relativistic jets in AGNs?
