Based on speckle interferometric measurements, orbital elements of two short-perod close binaries, 51 Tauri and Nu Bootis, are derived. For 51 Tauri, a period of 11.263 yr and an orbital inclination of 125.3 deg are obtained, and the derived dynamic parallax value of 0.0184 arcsec suggests that 51 Tauri is farther from the earth than the center of Hyades is. The calculated period of 8.84 years for Nu Bootis is consistent with previous observations, and the dynamic parallax value of 0.0084 arcsec obtained corresponds to a total system mass six and a half times that of the sun, and is more consistent with a B8 or B9 classification than with the presumed A2 classification.
