The relative elemental abundances in an extremely metal-deficient star
CD -38 deg 245 with Fe/H = 4.5 and in similar stars are examined. The
observed spectrum of HD 140283 is compared with a series of synthetic
spectra with O/Fe = -2.0, 0.0, + 0.5, and +1.0 dex. In addition, the
relative abundances of HD 2796 and Cd -38 deg 245 are plotted.
