A survey has been made of blue stars brighter than B equals 18.9 and bluer than U - B equals -0.35 in a 20.6 square degrees area. The survey is probably 90 percent complete. Seventy-one objects have been found, which should include 90 percent of the QSOs with a redshift smaller than z equals 2.30 in that region of the sky. The surface density of low redshift QSOs is found to be in the range 1.5 to 2.8 per square degree at B equals 18.9. To this number should be added 1.0 QSO of large redshift (z not less than 2.30) per square degree.
