The electron density and temperature of the equatorial rings and polar caps of Nova HR Delphini for August 1969 and June 1970 have been determined, as well as their variation as a function of time. It is found that the electron temperature of the rings was always greater than that of the polar caps and that in the early part of the nebular stage, the ring electron density was greater than that of the caps. The electron density of the rings decreased more rapidly, and so about three years after the beginning of the nebular stage, the electron density of the polar caps became greater than that of the equatorial rings.
