A solar model is considered which involves in its central part a chemically inhomogeneous convectively neutral zone. Discussing the evolution stability of the model, the conclusion is made that this zone should be nonrotating. Under this assumption, a preliminary study of the rotational frequency splitting of the solar 5-min modes is performed. The results obtained are in qualitative agreement with the observational data, in particular, that a large decrease of rotational velocity at the distance of nearly one quarter of radius, which follows from the observational splitting, can be clarified. The other confirmation of the model under consideration consists in the observation of a nonrotating solar magnetic field component.
