Following some recent laboratory studies it is proposed that the reaction of C3H+ with H2 is the major source of the cyclic and linear isomers of C3H3+ (i.e., c-C3H3+ and l-C3H3+) in interstellar clouds and that dissociation recombination reactions of these isomeric ions with electrons generate the c-C3H2 molecules (and possibly l-C3H2) recently detected in interstellar clouds.
