Sulfur, carbon, helium, and hydrogen 125 alpha recombination line observations toward the neutral interface between the H II region W48 and its associated molecular cloud are reported. The H125 alpha, He 125 alpha, C125 alpha, and S125 alpha are analyzed. The results are consistent with a simply physical model of a neutral interface with two components: (1) a broad C II region with electron temperatures of about 100 K, electron density of about 10/cu cm, microturbulent velocity of about 2.9 km/s, depth along the line of sight of about 0.01 pc, and line emission stimulated by the W48 region; and (2) a compact C II region with electron temperature 100 K, electron density 100/cu cm, microturbulent velocity 3.8 km/s, and depth 0.1 pc, also stimulated by the W48 region.
