Photometric observations in the Walraven photometric system and unpublished observations by Van Hoof et al. of the β Cephei star τ1Lupi are presented. The amplitude of the light variation increases from 0.035 mag in colour V to 0.052 mag in colour W. Frequency analysis of the photometric observations available in the literature shows that the light variations can be described satisfactorily by a single oscillation with constant frequency 5.637953±0.000004 c/d (period 0.17736934 d). The observations indicate that a perid change outside the range of -0.55 to 0.05 s per century is improbable.
