Radial velocities of the G5 III star located at the centre of the planetary nebula LT-5 have been obtained with the radial velocity scanner CORAVEL. The existence of two blended correlation dips which behave as the two components of an SB2 seems to indicate the presence of a close binary, which may be a coalescing system approaching the FK Comae stage. A third body is invoked to explain the observed variations of the systemic velocity. The orbital period of the binary containing the G-star is near 2 days. The period related to the third body is not safely defined. The small orbital inclination of the inner orbit prevents the visibility of eclipses. The photometric variations discovered by Schnell and Purgathofer (1983) are confirmed, but the possible periods differ from the 2 day period found. This difference may be due to migrating starspots on the G-binary.
