Some of the very high energy gamma-ray sources detected with the modern generation of Cherenkov telescopes have been identified with previously known X-ray binary systems, which are also radio emitters. In addition, some of the currently unidentified high energy and very high energy sources could be powered by relativistic radio jets from X-ray binaries, i.e., microquasars. Here I summarise the current status of our phenomenological knowledge regarding the radio/gamma-ray emission associated with microquasar X-ray binaries.
