In 1982 the South Tropical region continued to display its varied
repertoire of activity, which included a new "South Tropical
Dislocation", as well as various disturbances prograding, stationary or
retrograding. The North Equatorial Belt was also as active as usual.
Other latitudes were generally quiet.
