The velocity distribution of galaxies with known redshift in the Karachentseva Catalog of Isolated Galaxies is compared with that of a representative sample of homogeneously distributed objects. Averaged over the whole sky, the redshift distribution of galaxies in the Karachentseva catalog has two distinct peaks, one at + 1500 km/sec and another at + 5000 km/sec. Separate examination of different regions of the sky reveals further confinement to velocity regimes associated with coincident, known superclusters. In the region of Pisces-Perseus, the isolated galaxies are shown to be members of a dispersed supercluster component. While isolated on the sky, the Karachentseva catalog galaxies are not necessarily isolated in space and, as such, do not represent a population of field galaxies.
