Earlier works on the Ap Si star HD 92664, member of the open cluster IC 2602, showed that its photometric period is near 1.668 days. Using additional u, v, b, y photometry obtained in 1977, the period has been determined without ambiguity and with a higher accuracy: P = 1.6731 + or - 0.0001 days. It is suggested that the repeatedly observed larger scatter in the u light curve around phase of extreme effective magnetic field strength might be indicative for the existence of short time scale pulsations. HD 92664 is put forward as the first candidate hot Ap star showing these pulsations. One of the comparison stars HD 93163 was found to be slightly variable, possibly with a period of 7.862 days, though a period around 3 days (2.984) cannot be excluded.
