It is shown that the observed anisotropy of the motion of galaxies is in good agreement with results of the theory of the formation of galaxies based on the nonlinear theory of gravitational instability. This result does not contradict the large scale isotropy and homogeneity of the universe because this phenomenon has a local nature and practically vanishes at large distances.
