We propose deep r'-band and shallower g'- and i'-band MMT/Megacam observations to complete weak lensing mass reconstructions of all clusters in the northern hemisphere of the 400 Square Degree cluster sample. The complete X-ray selected sample contains 41 clusters - all observed with Chandra in a Large Program. The proposed MMT weak lensing observations, together with our other optical observations and archival data, will be used to construct cluster mass functions at high redshifts. This goal requires precise mass estimates from complete samples and hence weak lensing mass estimates are a crucial complement to X-ray analyses with Chandra. By comparison to the mass function of a local cluster sample of 63 clusters, completely covered with XMM-Newton and Chandra, we will obtain strong constraints on the nature of dark energy. The proposed observations of 3 clusters in 2 nights will complete all required observations of all clusters in the northern hemisphere ((delta)>-5 deg) in the relevant R.A. range (17h <(alpha) < 24h and 0h <(alpha) < 9h).
