Stream particles are nano-meter size dust grains ejected by the rotating planetary eld with high velocity (100 km/s). Here we report about 5 years (2004 - 2008) observation of the Saturnian stream particles by the Cosmic Dust Analyzer (CDA) on board the Cassini spacecraft. During the approach phase in the rst half of 2004, we found that the impacts cluster in periods with particular interplanetary magnetic eld (IMF) direction. Furthermore, the directionality and the impact charge of the streams are highly correlated with the corotating interaction region (CIR). This suggests that the dynamics of the stream particles are dominated by the electromagnetic force and com rms their tiny size. After Saturn Orbit Insertion (2004-DOY183), the data basically show a faint but continuous component arriving from the Saturn line-of-sight. Meanwhile, the strong interactions between the streams and the IMF are still observed during the excursions to the interplanetary space. After orbit 26 (2006-DOY204), the observation during high inclined oribts provides good opportunity to study the stream particles at high latitude. Based on the fact that the ux during high-inclined orbits is signi cantly lower than those of low-inclined orbits, we primarily conclude that the majority of stream particles are launched in the vincinity of the ring plane and ejected along the ring plane.
