Observations of active galaxies (3C 273, NGC 4151, Cen A) with the X-ray detector HEXE (20 - 200 keV) were analysed and compared to predictions of models of astrophysical plasmas. Effects of electron-positron pair production by photon-photon collisions and reflection of a primary continuum on cold matter in particular an accretion disk were of searched for.
