The paper examines the problem of retrieving the height dependence of the parameters of artificial disturbances of ionospheric electron density from the complex diagnostics of the disturbance region via the Doppler method and the vertical-sounding method. Based on regularization methods for solving inverse problems, an algorithm is proposed for retrieving the height profiles of the rate, magnitude, and characteristic time of the relaxation of the electron-density disturbances, as well as the effective recombination coefficient alpha3 in the ionosphere. This algorithm was used to process data on the HF heating of the ionosphere.
