The results of observations of type Ia supernovae 1988J, 1989D, 1989M and type II supernovae 1988A and 1989C are reported. Photographic B and V photometry and one spectrogram for SN 1989M are presented. Some parameters of light curves and absolute magnitudes at maximum light are derived. SN 1989D and 1989M appear to be typical Ia supernovae; SN 1988A belongs to type II P according to the shape of the light curve. SN 1989C differs from all the previously investigated SN II by an anomalously blue color; its light curve is similar to the one observed for the peculiar SN II 1987F.
