The possibility of determining the flux density of sporadic meteors from
the ionizing effect of meteoroids in the nighttime ionosphere is
examined. The flux density on Venus, the earth, and Mars is estimated by
a novel method. The flux ratio on Venus, the earth, and Mars is 4:1:10,
respectively.
