We show that if the reported detections of TeV and PeV gamma-ray signals from X-ray binaries are correct, then it is likely that sensitive low energy gamma-ray spectral measurements by NASA's Gamma-Ray Observatory will show evidence for a narrow neutron capture line at 2.22 MeV. We argue that such a detection would provide an unambiguous signature of proton or heavier ion acceleration within the binary system.
