We describe a variety of operations which can be carried out using Interactive Data Reduction and Analysis Facility (IRAF) software to improve upon the quality of the calibrated data when a variety of problems are present in it. The problems covered include such diverse topics as the pedestal, problems with Cosmic Ray rejection, problems with saturated or non-linear pixels, and multiple coronagraphic holes appearing in images.
